Gwangju City will provide 100,000 won in enlistment support to young people who are enlisted (conscripted) starting next month.
Those eligible for payment are active-duty, supplementary-duty, or alternative-duty soldiers who will enlist from the 1st of the following month and must have been registered as a resident in Gwangju for at least one year consecutively as of the date of application for the subsidy.
The application deadline is six months from the date of receipt of the enlistment notice to enlistment (call up).
Bring your ID card and enlistment notice and visit the Administrative Welfare Center in your jurisdiction to apply.
The subsidy of 100,000 won will be paid in Gwangju City’s local currency and can be used at any local currency within 5 years from the date of payment.
