Leaving behind the existing perception that it was old-fashioned, there are now cafes and pensions with a Hanok concept, Instagram-worthy photo zone destinations, and even Hwangridan-gil, which is called the Garosu-gil of Gyeongju. It is truly becoming a hot place.
From now on, from restaurants to cafes, travel destinations, and accommodations! Among the many hot spots, I would like to introduce you to the ‘Gyeongju Dog-Friendly Travel Course’, which carefully selects only the places you can go with your dog 🙂
The first place we will introduce is ‘Gungsangakchiwoo’, a dog-friendly restaurant in Gyeongju.
This place, which was featured on Running Man, is famous for its native chicken stew. If you bring your dog with you, you have the advantage of being able to eat comfortably without being noticed because we guide you to a private room.

For this reason, it is a place visited by many people with pets who travel to Gyeongju. It is built in a quiet and familiar Hanok style, so you can enjoy a meal privately in a more friendly atmosphere.
However, you must be especially careful to prevent children from getting hurt by hot cooking utensils and dishes.
Basically, small dogs as well as medium-sized and large dogs are allowed, but this may vary depending on the circumstances of the store, so you must contact us first before visiting.
The second course is ‘Iiro Coffee’, a dog-friendly cafe on Hwangridan-gil, Gyeongju.
Hwangridan-gil in Gyeongju is often called the tree-lined road of Gyeongju. It is a representative hot place in Gyeongju, filled with cafes and restaurants that create an emotional atmosphere.

There are many dog-friendly cafes here, but most of them are on the terrace. ‘Iiro Coffee’ is of course a place where you can bring your own companion indoors. However, you must carry a carry bag or something indoors, and please wear a leash when outdoors!

In addition, ‘Iiro Cafe’ is entirely in the shape of a hanok, creating a unique atmosphere, and has a photo zone with a round window, making it a famous photo spot where you can take both life-long and new-life shots.
You can also try delicious desserts such as the signature Iiro sandwich and crople, so I recommend taking a break here during your trip.
The third course is ‘Bomun Colosseum’, a unique dog-friendly travel destination.
It is a place modeled after Rome’s representative historic site, the Colosseum, and has restaurants, souvenir shops, and a museum.
However, unfortunately, you cannot bring your dog inside. However, the reason many people visit this place is because it is the representative photo zone of Gyeongju.

The last course is a pet-friendly hanok bed and breakfast.
‘Silla Inn’
This is a newly built Hanok premium bed and breakfast that was newly opened around January 2020 by remodeling an existing Hanok, and is a place where you can relax privately in a private house.

Located on the main street of Hwangridan-gil and in a neat residential area, it is an attractive bed and breakfast that combines the beauty of a hanok with a modern sensibility, with even a small touch.
The interior boasts a clean white tone as it is newly built. Because it is a private house, you will be using the entire house. Unfortunately, only medium/small dogs are allowed (there is no additional fee for dogs).

Additionally, there is a nice yard for children to play in front of the accommodation, and you can also enjoy swimming in the small pool during the summer. Also, on days when the weather is nice, it’s great to enjoy a party together at an outdoor table.
