If the number of applications exceeds the number of applicants, low-income young people will be selected first. Recipients of basic livelihood security and the second-lowest class are excluded from support because they cannot receive existing welfare if the youth allowance is counted as income.
Young people who wish to apply can apply on the Youth All Information website (youth.seoul.go.kr) from 10 a.m. on the 11th to 4 p.m. on the 18th.
This year, the youth allowance project will be reorganized to go beyond simple cash support and help young people grow on their own.
First, in order to transform youth allowance participants from policy beneficiaries to leading participants, last year’s participants who succeeded in employment and independence through youth allowance are appointed as mentors to help them plan their lives and find career paths.

Starting this year, except for the three major cash usage criteria such as housing expenses, living/utility expenses, and education expenses, only check cards exclusively for youth allowances must be used. In addition, support will be strengthened to increase the success rate of employment during the participation period by organically linking with various city resources such as job cafes, job matching reinforcement centers, and employment academies.
