International Cooperation Center Customer Center Phone Number
Due to globalization and internationalization, the number of people working or living abroad is increasing. Korea is an export-oriented country, so companies in many fields such as construction, electronics, and nuclear energy are expanding overseas.
Accordingly, the National Pension Service International Cooperation Center exists to protect the social security rights of companies operating overseas and dispatched workers.
For companies operating overseas or for dispatched workers, a social security agreement, an international treaty, is concluded with the relevant country, which determines the payment of insurance premiums and payment standards for salaries for citizens of both parties.
The Social Security Agreement is a bilateral agreement between countries related to the national pension system, but depending on the system of the country in question, its scope can be expanded to include industrial accident insurance, employment insurance, and health insurance.
The Social Security Agreement began in 1999, and is currently in effect with a total of 36 countries, including the United States, Germany, and Canada. The main content of the agreement is based on exemption from insurance premiums between countries, but it also stipulates that the right to receive benefits is protected by adding up the national pension subscription period with 26 countries, including the United States and Canada.
The customer service center phone number of the International Cooperation Center under the National Pension Service, located on the 6th floor of 180 Giji-ro, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do, is the main number 1355.
