For the 3rd class trainees in Gyeongnam, 134 applicants out of 52 recruited, showing a competition rate of 2.6 to 1. In order to help young people without farming experience and knowledge to start a smart farm, the province helps young people without farming experience and knowledge learn from the trials and errors of farming failures through practice of the entire cycle of crops, from theories such as crop cultivation, environmental control technology, and greenhouse management, to cultivation, harvest, and distribution. A substantial education program was constructed to minimize the risk and develop crisis management skills so that farming can be carried out stably.

Trainees who complete the 20-month (1,620H) course can start a smart farm, move into a rental smart farm, and get a job at a smart farm-related farming corporation after completion. After consultation, we plan to support in various ways, such as arranging idle farmland, supporting rental farms, and providing information on employment and start-ups.

And to solve the housing problem of trainees from other regions during the training period, we plan to operate the only dormitory among the four childcare centers in the country, and consideration was given so that trainees could focus only on farming without worrying about housing.

Siyoung Yoo, Director of the Agricultural Resources Management Institute, said, “We will do our best to foster smart farm experts through systematic field-oriented education so that young people can return to rural areas and settle down stably through smart farm management.”

On the other hand, the Smart Farm Youth Incubation Center operated by Gyeongnam-do is located in Imcheon-ri, Samnangjin-eup, Milyang-si, and was completed in September last year with 3 practice greenhouses of 2.6 hectares and is operating normally. , and 43 trainees of the 2nd class are in the middle of management practice training, and they are expected to complete it in June next year.

Youth Startup Incubation Centers are operated in four regions (Jeonbuk Gimje, Jeonnam Goheung, Gyeongbuk Sangju, and Gyeongnam Miryang), and are recruited nationwide for young people between the ages of 18 and 39, and can apply regardless of where they live.
