음성 가볼만한 곳The first is the ‘Exciting Voice Factory Tour Series’. It is an experiential program where you can visit a factory located in Eumseong-gun and see the product manufacturing process with your own eyes.
Currently, there are 9 companies participating in the factory tour, including Semo Co., Ltd. (hand wash making), Wooriwa Co., Ltd. (dog companion education program and agility experience), Yeomyeong Co., Ltd. (smart gardening), and Komega (triangle kimbap making). Depending on the tour, there are 1-day and 2-day courses.
Starting with the 1st tour last month, it will continue until the 9th tour in October. On the 15th of this month (the 4th tour), you will visit Tsfood Co., Ltd. to experience making your own sausage, and then go on a beer factory tour at Korea Craft Brewery, followed by a brewery craft beer tasting and a sikhye making program. In July (the 5th time), Pulmuone Co., Ltd. will hold a tour of the world’s No. 1 tofu factory, where you can make your own tofu. Handok Co., Ltd. will visit the Handok Pharmaceutical Museum and the Handok factory, and have an eco-friendly experience using pine cones.
You can make a reservation on the Eumseong County Office website.
The second travel destination is a ‘forest bathing’ trip where you can wash away your tired body and mind with phytoncide.
Bonghak-gol Forest Bathing is one of Eumseong’s representative attractions, so much so that it is selected as one of the ‘100 Best Places to Visit in Chungcheongbuk-do’s Natural Environments.
This place is about 200,000 square meters in size, and is popular as an outing place for families with a sculpture park, nature learning center, water park, and walking trail.
In particular, Bonghak-gol, surrounded by Mt. Gaseop, presents visitors with a wonderful natural landscape with colorful scenery and a lake that changes with each season. This is the perfect place to take a light walk along the small lakeside, and Bonghak-gol Forest Bathing Area is sparsely populated, so you can have a unique experience of encountering squirrels and even deer while walking along the trail.
I also highly recommend Gamgok Maegoe Seongmo Pilgrimage Site Cathedral (hereinafter referred to as Gamgok Cathedral). This cathedral, the first of its kind in Chungcheongbuk-do, was built in the current Gothic style in October 1930.
Gamgok Cathedral is a place of pilgrimage for the Virgin Mary, and many Catholics visit it, but it is also a rare Gothic-style building in Korea, so many people visit it.
The next place to visit is the Hydrogen Safety Museum. It is the first safety experience education facility in Korea created by the Korea Gas Safety Corporation to inform people about the safety of gas and hydrogen and to easily and enjoyably convey information about hydrogen energy, which is gaining attention as a clean energy source.
The facility consists of a gas safety experience center and a hydrogen safety promotion center. Visitors can experience the hydrogen cycle through vivid media art, and in the 4D theater, they can sit on chairs that move like amusement rides and experience the threats to nature due to climate change and the future hydrogen society to overcome them. It is a good season because there are many places to go even though there are few places that call you. It would be nice to go to Eumseong to appreciate the outstanding cultural heritage and beautiful nature.
