철도차량 운전면허> Railroad vehicle driver’s license > Acquisition procedure
• Physical examination designated hospital and driving aptitude test designated by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport
• Accepted by the institution
• Complete driver education and training at a driver education and training institution designated by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport
• Completion of at least 270 hours of theory and 410 hours of skills (total of 680 hours)
• Score at least 40 points per subject and an average of 60 points or more in the 5 subjects administered by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority for each type of license (60 points or more for railroad-related laws)
• Score at least 60 points per subject and an average of 80 points or more in 5 subjects administered by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority for each type of license
• Issuance of Type 2 electric vehicle driver’s license
• Practical driving training according to the training plan at the railway operating institution
• Change, renewal, return, suspension, cancellation of license information by driving range
• Data management, etc.
• After completing practical training at a railroad operating institution, register for a certified section at the Korea Transportation Safety Authority and engage in driving work.
