There are two main types of subscription.

 

1. Workplace Subscribers: These are people who go to work. Half of business subscribers are paid by the employer and the other half by themselves. As of 2022, members pay 4.5% of their monthly income.

2. Local subscribers: Local subscribers refer to those who do not belong to organizations such as freelancers and small business owners. Unlike business subscribers, local subscribers pay 9% of their monthly income.

However, keep in mind that even freelancers can sign up as part-time workers if they work for more than one month at the four major workplaces and work more than 60 hours a month. Also, if you are a freelancer with no income, you can defer payment, so you can contact the National Pension Service and apply for a payment exception.

 

How to inquire the refund of the national pension

A refund occurs when the national pension refund is paid in double or when you make a mistake and pay more. Since the government is not aware of this information accurately, it is to notify the public that a refund will occur later over time.

 

When a refund occurs in this way, it is structured so that you can receive it only when you directly inquire and request a receipt. So, if you don’t check this yourself, the amount will disappear, so there won’t be much regret.

In accordance with the statute of limitations, refunds cannot be refunded unless you apply for the 3-year national pension within 5 years in the case of health expenses. So, please visit us even if it is a small amount.

1. Log in to the NHIC website.

Then, click the Refund Inquiry Request menu in the custom menu on the main menu. This will allow you to log in yourself using a joint certificate or financial certificate and simple certificate.

 

In my case, I will inform you in advance that this is very convenient because I mainly use financial certificates. If you log in like this, you will immediately see whether there is a refund or not.

 

2. If there is a refund, click the Apply button.
When you apply for a refund, you can deposit it into the deposit account you have listed. At this time, if it is not a normal account bankbook, you cannot use it, so please fill in an officially recognized bankbook to receive the deposit accurately.

 

3. If it does not work on the Health Corporation website, please visit the Financial Supervisory Service Pine website.

There is a Sleeping Find My Money menu on the first screen of the Financial Supervisory Service Pine site. If you enter here, the term national pension refund is not mentioned. That’s why it goes into what’s called unreimbursed utility bills. If you go here, you will be connected to the government 24 complaint site, and you can apply for a refund here.

 

 

As for refunds, if you do not apply for the national pension within 5 years from the date of payment in accordance with the Act on Extinctive Prescription, your precious right to receive a refund will expire, so please visit us even if it is a small amount.

The application process for individuals and businesses is slightly different.

Individual (regional subscriber): Inquiry and application on the Internet, smartphone app, customer center
Place of business (individual representative, corporation): After checking the refund amount on the Internet or at the customer center, submit the application form and required documents to the competent branch office

You can search various refunds such as dormant deposits and dormant funds in Find My Money. To find your National Pension Rebate, select Unreimbursed Utility Bills.

You will be redirected to the website of Government 24 Hanaro. This is the unrefunded amount that can be inquired on Government 24.
