Learn how to report loss of BC card
In everyday life, it can be very frustrating when you realize that you don’t have a card in your wallet. Dealing with a lost card can be frustrating and inconvenient, but it is also a very important task that needs to be dealt with quickly. This time, we will learn how to report the loss of your Shinhan Card.
1. Customer Center
Most card companies accept reports of loss 24 hours a day. For BC Card, you can call the customer center (☎1588-4515) 24 hours a day.
2. Homepage
You can easily report loss on the BC Card website. After logging in, you can apply right away at My BC – Card Information – Report Lost Card – Request for Lost Report. However, since it is not possible to apply for a family card through the website, please contact the nearest branch or customer service center.
A notice appears saying, “This is the BC Card Loss Reporting Center. Please enter your 13-digit resident registration number. To report loss or acquisition of a foreigner or corporate card, please press the asterisk (*).” You can quickly report the loss and suspend the use of the card by following the instructions.
BC Card Customer Counseling Center Phone Number
The general counseling phone numbers are ☎1566-4000 and ☎1588-4000, which operate from 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays. There is usually a high volume of calls between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, so avoid this time if possible. If you do so, we can reduce the waiting time.
