A pilot project of the Healthy Living Practice Support Fund, which provides subsidies to those who manage their own health, is being implemented in 24 regions across the country.
If you live in the pilot area, you can apply online or offline. Points that can be used to purchase products at designated internet malls are given to participants depending on the type of participation.
Let’s take a look at the participants and how to apply for the Healthy Living Practice Support Fund, which is divided into prevention and management types.
Participants in the preventive type are those between the ages of 20 and 64 who need health care as a result of a general health checkup among health insurance subscribers. Note that dependents are also included.
The application period is within 6 months from the date of the health checkup, points can be accumulated up to 100,000 points, and the participation period is 2 years.
For reference, the standard for earning points is a method in which points are paid differently for each recipient according to the degree of ‘healthy life practice’ and ‘health improvement’.
Healthy life practices include completing a health management program and walking more than 8,000 steps a day, and health improvement includes weight loss, blood pressure, and glycated hemoglobin control.
The subjects of the managed type are divided into hypertensive patients and diabetic patients who are enrolled in health insurance and are participating in the primary care chronic disease management pilot project.
You can apply within 3 months from the date of establishment of the care plan, and the participation period is 1 year, which is shorter than the preventive type. Point accumulation varies depending on the type of patient, up to 50,000 points for hypertensive patients and up to 60,000 points for diabetic patients.
As with the prevention type, the accumulation standard is differentiated according to the degree of health life practice and health improvement program.
Application for the health living practice subsidy system can be made online and offline, and offline applications can be made by visiting the branch of the National Health Insurance Corporation in charge of the pilot area.
Online application, available through the health insurance website and mobile app, can be done after logging in, so you need to sign up in advance.
If you have any questions, please contact the National Health Insurance Service Customer Center at 1577-1000 or visit the website.
A total of 24 areas were selected as pilot areas, including 15 prevention-type areas, 10 management-type areas, and 1 redundant area, which were evenly included by applying objective standards.
Check the pilot area according to the type of participation, and if you or an acquaintance are eligible, apply within the period to manage your health and receive support.
