Eligible for support (all conditions below must be met)
① Diesel vehicles (including 3 types of road construction machinery) and forklifts or excavators whose use has been registered in the air management area or application area for more than 6 consecutive months as of the application deadline
② Diesel vehicles (including three types of road construction machinery) and forklifts or excavators (vehicles within the period of validity of regular inspection as of the date of application) that have been judged suitable as a result of a sensory test pursuant to Article 43-2, Paragraph 1, Item 1 of the Automobile Management Act
※ Recognized when the inspection validity period is extended in accordance with Article 75 of the Enforcement Rules of the Automobile Management Act and Article 31-2 of the Enforcement Rules of the Construction Machinery Management Act
③ Diesel vehicles (including 3 types for road use) and forklifts or excavators that are judged to be in ‘normal operation’ on the vehicle confirmation for early scrapping
④ Diesel vehicles (including 3 types for road use) and forklifts or excavators that have not been fitted with an emission reduction device or converted to a low-emission engine with support from the government or local government, and forklifts or excavators with a gross weight of 3.5 tons or more. Applications for early scrapping of vehicles or construction machinery must be made for more than 6 months. Available only to those who own it

⑥ A person who has no arrears such as local taxes, environmental improvement charges, etc.

◎ Low-income group (livelihood vehicle) Relevant vehicle: 1 million won additional support in addition to the basic subsidy (within the upper limit)
– Applicable to basic livelihood security recipients and the next lower class according to Article 2 of the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, and submit ‘National Basic Livelihood Recipient Certificate’ or ‘Next Lower Class Confirmation’ when applying (issued by welfare or local government)
※ In the case of a joint title, recognition is possible only if both title holders fall into the low-income class.
◎ Vehicles applicable to small business owners: Additional support of 1 million won in flat amount on top of the basic subsidy (within the upper limit)
– Submit a small business confirmation (issued by the Small and Medium Business Status Information System http://sminfo.mss.go.kr/)
※ In the case of joint names, cases where only one person is a small business owner are also recognized.
◆ Vehicles for low-income people (subsistence type) and small business owners cannot receive duplicate support.
◎ Additional subsidy (KRW 1 million for cargo and special vehicles, KRW 600,000 for other vehicles) for not being able to attach a reduction device (gross weight less than 3.5 tons in grade 5) and additional subsidy for scrapping grade 4 and 5 vehicles and registering a new zero-emission vehicle ( 500,000 won) is supported within the upper limit.
– Vehicles that cannot be equipped with a reduction device must be checked by the local government or the Korea Automobile Environment Association in the automobile emissions computer system (no need to submit separate documents)
※ If the exhaust gas comprehensive computer system does not confirm that the vehicle has not developed a reduction device or cannot be equipped with a reduction device, additional support is only possible by submitting a confirmation letter issued by the device manufacturer.
