Adults who fall under one of the following categories: “basic livelihood recipients, second-lowest class, or members of households with 65% or less of the standard median income” with lifelong education vouchers provided by the government so that learners can autonomously decide and participate in learning activities according to their own learning needs. The government supports a portion of the costs required for lifelong education.

※ However, during the period of use of the lifelong education voucher, recipients of the Korea Scholarship Foundation’s “National Scholarship” cannot apply for the voucher.

On-site payment after visiting a lifelong education institution
Voucher limit is automatically deducted when making payment to the relevant institution
In the case of online lifelong education institutions, payment is made on the institution’s website.
If the course fee exceeds 350,000 won, you must pay the excess cost yourself (be sure to deposit the excess amount into the bank account linked to the lifelong education voucher card and then pay the course fee in one lump sum).
In principle, it is to be used for course tuition, but can only be used for the textbook and material costs of the course for which the voucher is used (textbook and material costs charged separately from the tuition, and cannot be used for textbooks and material purchase costs for courses other than those for which the voucher is used)
You can only pay your own tuition, but you cannot pay your parents’ or children’s tuition fees.
Any amount not used during the period announced on the Lifelong Education Voucher website will automatically expire and cannot be carried over to the next year or withdrawn in cash.
After applying for a lifelong education voucher, if the card is not issued within the deadline or is not used, participation in the next year’s project may be restricted depending on the situation. (However, users who are unable to use it due to personal circumstances, etc. and have no usage history If selection is canceled within 2 months from the date of selection, penalty for the following year may not be applied.)
National scholarship recipients may be disqualified from receiving lifelong education vouchers or may be restricted from participating in projects in their own year if it is confirmed that they receive overlapping benefits from the lifelong education voucher.
When paying tuition with a lifelong education voucher, cancellation may not be possible or the refund procedure may be different.
